DIY Christmas Party Centrepiece Ideas

18 Dec 2017, 12:57 PM

It's that time of year again, the time for fun and festivities. If you're hosting a Christmas party, chances are you'll be out to impress your guests. You've got gifts, a Turkey and beautiful hotel grade table linen.

But what about a stunning Christmas centrepiece to really wow your guests? Here's a few ideas!

Cranberry Candles

Place a selection of red, green and cream votive candles on a small serving tray and dress with fresh or faux cranberries and pine twigs then garnish with artificial snow for a truly festive centrepiece.

An Elegant Touch

If you're looking for something on the 'classy' side, why not try placing a large bauble on a bed of evergreen sprigs in the middle of a dinner plate. Finish with a simple fresh rose and cover with a cloche.

Christmas Games

Using scrabble tiles, spell out a seasonal message such as 'seasons greetings' and place on a platter. Decorate the platter with mini baubles, nuts and fresh berries for a festive finish!

All Is Bright

Recycle your old Christmas lights! Pull off the colourful bulbs and place in a glass dish surrounding a festive-scented candle!

Glistening Candles

Coat your candles in Epsom salts for a sparkly, snow-covered look then arrange on a tray filled with holly, more Epsom salts and festive greens.

A Vintage Christmas

Take a vintage-style tray and place glowing tea lights, glittering baubles and pine cones in the centre for a wonderfully nostalgic look.

Festive Tiers

Using a multi-tiered cake stand, display Christmas cards and small wrapped boxes to create a platter of gifts. Finish with mini baubles greens and artificial snow for the perfect centrepiece.

Baubles Of Fun

Place a silver or gold bowl on top of a 1-tier cake stand and fill with baubles, tinsel and bright coloured Christmas ornaments for a colourful Christmas feature.

Winter Wonderland

Using fresh moss (available online or from most florists) create a foundation in the middle of your table. Place a log in the centre then fill with gingerbread, toadstools and votive candles for a wonderfully natural centrepiece.

Sparkling Platter

One of the easiest DIY centrepieces on our list. Decorate a serving tray with silver and gold baubles then tuck in boughs of evergreen for an effortless festive feel.
